Application of a damage constitutive model to pile–slope stability analysis

Piles were regarded as elastic materials in the traditional numerical simulation. The pile would not reflect damage of engineering, which misjudge reinforcement effect piles on slopes. specific objective this study was to propose a constitutive model replace analysis pile–slope stability. In study, simulated by model, can plastic deformation pile. factors position and ratio slope’s factor safety (FOS) are investigated finite difference method using FLAC3D. lateral displacement, bending moment, shear force, soil pressure balance-reinforced used between models. results showed that FOS considering could be smaller, approximately 15% less than an under conditions. Furthermore, two evaluation internal force same reach about 30%. It observed overestimate slope, will cause potential hazards engineering. This provides realistic for design slope-stabilizing piles.
